Holy Paladin PvP Gear - Season 7, Patch 3.2

Patch 3.2 is being released today and the next Arena Season will follow in just a few weeks.  This new season usher’s in a slew of new changes for the PvP world, including a new Tier of PvP gear:  Relentless Gladiator’s Redemption.  Our arena points will be wiped when the next arena season starts so make sure to convert them to honor before that happens if you can’t buy anything.  The new PvP gear has the same costs and requirements as the old gear, so make sure to stop by your local PvP vendor and pick up the new threads.

Vault of Archavon

The new boss in Wintergrasp is Koralon the Flame Watcher.  Most of the new PvP gear is available off him for those who are lucky enough to get it.  Check out my previous post for an exact listing of the Archavon and Emalon drops.

Emblems of Conquest and Emblems of Triumph

With the changes to the way Emblems work in Patch 3.2, we may all be rolling in Emblems of Conquest soon.  You can still buy the entire Deadly Gladiator’ set with Emblems of Conquest. Gloves and shoulders are 46 Emblems each.  Head, legs, and chest are 58 emblems each.  You will also be able to buy the Furious Gladiator gear with the new Emblems of Triumph.  You can still purchase the earlier season’ gear with your Emblems of Heroism and Valor.

Spending your Honor Points

Below is a list of the ways you can spend your honor points without needing any Arena Rating at all.  If you have at least a 1200 Rating, you can buy many of the equivalent Relentless pieces for only a bit more honor (and no arena points).  Most of these can be purchased from the Officer’s Barracks in Stormwind or Ogrimmar.  The set pieces can be purchased from the Dalaran sewers.  Think of this as your shopping list.  Below is the list of items that require no Arena Rating.

Spending your Arena Points

Below is the list of the top arena gear you can spend those Arena Rating of on.  You can get these pieces from the Officer’s Quarters in Stormwind or Ogrimmar and the Dalaran Sewers.  The Rating requirements have gone down quite a bit from Season 6.

Spending your Marks of Honor

There’s a few new items we can buy with our Wintergrasp Marks of Honor.  These are item level 226 (Furious level) gear.

Enjoy your new gear!

  1. Hi there.

First thanks for a great post and for your time you put into gathering this info.

Second, I would like to ask you and your readers what would be good shield and weapon for someone starting in arena. I don’t raid much with my pally, and the highest I can go is first few bosses in reg Ulduar.

  2. Easy to get and quite good is the titansteel crafted weapon and the shield for emblems (itemlvl200 i think)
afaik u cant get pvp weapon or shield without arena points + rating

  3. A good Starting Weapon and shield if you can get your hands on them would be the Pulsing Spellshield and Mariel’s Touch from ToC Heroic. Both are decent healing pieces to start. They are currently what i use in PvP as i’m still working for the rating to get the Relentless Accessories. Another thing to note is that holy Paladins in PvP will base they’re overall healing on Armor more so then weapons. Therefore, as a friendly recommendation, go for armor before weapons. In the long run it’ll be more beneficial :)

  4. I’ve never been into holy pvp before, but i thought i’d give it a try. Now being the time of patch 3.3 for a while, are you (planning on) making an updated list for patch 3.3 and arena season 8?

  5. Yeah Chamros, I am. In fact, I’m planning it to be my next post. Sorry its taken awhile, I’ve just been doing a lot of raiding and arenas this season. =-)

I should be posting it shortly.

  6. Thanks, I’m looking forward to it! ^^ :D
