Hi, now that WoW 4.0.1 is out and all of the Pally heal spells are different, I was hoping that you could update this post or create a new one on how you would configure Healbot now.

Pally’s have a bunch more spells, and I haven’t figured out yet how to heal w/ my Paladin since the patch (for various reasons (win2k), I just managed to get the patch installed).

This guide was invaluable to me, and helped my play, so I’m hoping you’re still playing and feel like writing another one!

Well, I just turned 80 a couple of days ago with my first char, when I first bought dual spec, I decided to go as healer and downloaded an addon called Helium, is kinda of fun actually, lets you set the spells next to hp bars and you just click it, but the major flaw on it was when I looked at it on a raid, OMG I mean, having 25 ppl ono that frame took nearle all my left side of the screen blocking part of the view, a friend tested it for me and sucked big time….epic fai.

he is a shammy healer and showed me the use of healbot, it is awesome, I have a 5 botton mouse and it does wonders and the cooldown of BOL and SS are just fine with the size for me, but there are some downside and I have to agree with someone that wrote a bit back, you develop a very healer-tunel-vision, I notice I’m taking hits more often because I see my health going down that looking at my toon.

I know most of it is practice and knowing the fights, I guess I still have to implement macros, how do I put the macros on the clicks of healbot? help me with this please and I’m sure it will make me a better healer… XD

I do and have been using healbot for while now & i like it BUT let me just point out whats wrong with healbot:

1. If you dc while in combat when you log back in, healbot usually get locked out.
You can try to fix it by reseting healbot but it takes extra time & usually fails.
This means you can only see yourself but nobody else, for the duration of the fight.

2. After you use it for a long time, you become totally dependednt on it. So if it fails (read section 1) you have no idea what to do and just stand there like an idiot instead of healing:D

3. Healbot is designed (as far as i know) for assigning specific spells/abilities for clicking combinations, but not macros
