Last night we managed to down 10-man Emalon with only one person specced heals (me) and 4 melee dps. It was a pretty interesting way to do the fight. The two tanks stood a little less than 40 yards apart so that with Beacon up I really only had to heal one of the tanks. The [...]

I’m sorry for the large amount of “paladins can raid heal” posts I’ve been doing lately, but I’m still seeing tons of paladins on the WOW forums and elsewhere insisting that the only thing that Paladins can do is tank heal with Holy Light. They say our other spells are useless and we are limited to [...]

Check out my latest post for the updated PvP gear for Season 7 and Patch 3.2.
There have been a number of changes to how we obtain PvP gear in Patch 3.1 and an entire new tier of gear we can obtain. In this post, I’ll go over the different PvP gear we have available, how [...]

Now that Ulduar is out, we’ve been seeing a ton of QQ, whining and complaining discussion throughout the Internet about the difficulties Holy Paladins are having, especially in 10-man Ulduar. Here is the jist of the complaints:
There is too much raid damage that we can’t handle.
There is too much movement required.
Flash of Light is too weak to [...]

Note: This post has been updated slightly for Patch 3.2 and the new Beacon.
Although I’ve always been planning to do it, I have yet to write a general guide to Holy Paladin healing. So, here it is.
How I Heal 99% of the time
I personally think I have a very unique (bad?) healing strategy, but it works very well for [...]

Razorscale is the first real boss you should attempt in Ulduar. If you tried Razorscale last week and failed, I encourage you to go back in and try again this week. He received a few different minor nerfs that help a lot. He was much easier to down this week compared to last week. Maybe we were [...]

Emalon the Stonewatcher is a huge bump up in difficulty compared to his flat-mate Archavon. The days of easy-mode WOW are officially over. While Wowwiki has some great tips on defeating Emalon, I thought I’d give my view of the fight from a Holy Paladin’s perspective.
Gear Requirements
You and your team are going to need very good gear [...]

In my earlier post, I went over the PvE Holy specs. My 2nd spec is Holy PvP. Notice that a lot of these specs aren’t really Holy, but they are all healing specs and you still wear Spell Power gear with every spec, so I’ll call them Holy anyway.
There are very few talents in any tree that are [...]

Lore lol?
With Ulduar coming out, some of you may wonder why you’re going there in the first place. You may have heard something about the Titans and know that Yogg-Saron is a bad guy you need to kill, but there’s a lot more to it than that. The lore of Warcraft has always been a huge interest for [...]

Ulduar is out now and its time to start going over the new boss strats. Ulduar bosses will be much more difficult than the Naxx bosses, so make sure you read up on them and you’re prepared and geared for the encounters.
The first boss in Ulduar is a vehicle fight. It sounds really confusing but [...]
